An alert should point to an action.
A notification that says “something failed” creates another investigation.
A useful alert identifies the affected request, the failed step, the responsible owner, and the recovery action.
Keep sensitive details appropriate to the receiving channel. Give the owner a way to find the underlying record.
Then review which alerts led to resolution and which only created noise.
