Revenue execution / Executive intelligence

A booked meeting is a promise. Attendance is evidence.

Define what the business is buying before counting what the campaign produces.

Choose the event that matters

An outreach campaign can generate replies, appointments, attended conversations, proposals, and signed work. Each is useful, but each answers a different question. A founder who wants sales conversations needs a definition that extends beyond a calendar invitation.

At kickoff, decide which event represents progress and which event triggers commercial acceptance. Write the definition in language that both the campaign team and the receiving team can apply.

Make qualification observable

For a home service consultation, illustrative criteria might include a supported property location, a relevant service need, and the right person attending. For a consulting engagement, they might include decision authority, a specific business problem, and willingness to explore an engagement.

Avoid criteria that depend on intuition alone. “Good lead” is difficult to audit. “Property in the agreed service area and owner attended the intake” is something the team can verify. The exact thresholds belong in the engagement scope.

Separate attendance from sales success

A qualified attended meeting can still end without a proposal. A proposal can still end without a signed engagement. Sales outcomes depend on the offer, timing, fit, and the conversation itself.

Track those transitions separately so the team can locate the bottleneck. Low attendance calls for a different response from strong attendance with weak proposal conversion. Blending them into one campaign score hides the work that needs attention.

Build the acceptance loop

Give the receiving team a simple way to accept a meeting or flag a specific mismatch. Include a deadline, evidence, and a path to resolve disputed classifications. Exclude existing clients and active opportunities according to the agreed rules.

Review accepted meetings alongside downstream outcomes. The purpose is to learn which conversations deserve more investment, while keeping payment and performance reporting traceable.

The leadership question

Could two people independently review the same meeting and reach the same qualification decision? If not, tighten the definition before increasing campaign volume.

Examples are illustrative operating scenarios.
